Customers had to submit a manual form to change loan repayments. A process that generated over 600,000 requests annually.
We saw an opportunity to reduce service load and improve user autonomy through real-time, in-app repayment management.
Smart calculators were added to show how extra contributions reduce interest and shorten the loan term, helping customers make informed decisions.
Giving customers the capability to change their repayment date and frequency, triggering a real-time recalculation of their new minimum repayment amount based on the updated schedule.
Enabled customers to choose their preferred ANZ Plus transaction or savings account for loan repayments within the app.
Restricted access to repayment tools and account details in joint loans when a co-borrower lacked permissions, protecting sensitive information and supporting vulnerable customers.
